In a 2014 address, Pope Francis stated that "human trafficking is an open wound on the body of contemporary society, a scourge upon the body of Christ. It is a crime
against humanity." Sadly, four years later, the world still faces a human trafficking crisis. No continent, country, or city is exempt. Human trafficking has invaded every corner of the globe. Its targets are society's most vulnerable—widows, children, the poor, the desperate—the very ones whom CCC is committed to helping. CCC offers counseling, shelter, and other resources for victims of human trafficking. We also offer intensive training for the perpetrators of human trafficking, teaching them accountability, consequences, and how to break the pattern of abuse.
