Pamela
Hello, Hola, and Bonjour! My name is Pam. Becoming an excellent parent is the most important thing to me. I cannot wait to be called “Mom”.
Expectant Parent, thank you for taking the time to learn a bit more about me. Placing your child for adoption is a serious and difficult decision. I respect your journey.
I live in the suburbs of Richmond, Virginia. I own a large colonial home on a cul de sac in a kid friendly neighborhood. The school system is highly rated. I am single, never married, and have no children. I am happy, healthy and living a full life. My main circle consists of my mother, sister, and my 10-year-old nephew. I have a large circle of cousins and friends as my support network. Many of my friends are single by choice parents and have adopted children. I have a cousin that is adopted I love to travel, garden, Amazon shop, and jog. (Fun Fact: I ran the New York Marathon in 2019).
I have been a practicing physician for 15 years. I specialize in pediatric anesthesia. Basically, I help patients sleep through surgeries and be pain free. I do not work evenings, weekends or holidays. Additionally I have 8 weeks of vacation per year. Therefore, I have plenty of time to do the things I enjoy. The best part of my job is that I get to help babies and adults using compassion and science.
I am a Christian. My father instilled in me to keep God first in everything I do. I am a member of an Episcopal Church in Richmond.
Adoption is how I am choosing to become a parent. Growing up, I always thought I’d meet someone, get married, and have kids. Well, that did not happen. I have no regrets. At this stage of my life, my singular focus is to be a great parent. I’d love nothing more than to give a safe and loving home to a Black/African-American or Biracial child.
I cannot wait to meet you!
